All who knew Stuart understand what a privilege it was to know him. We will miss his intelligence, generosity and keen wit, always delivered with a glint in his eye and a hint of cheekiness.

With love and sadness at the loss of Stuart; such an engaging, entertaining, clever, yet incredibly modest, man. We have lots of memories of wonderful childrens' parties in your garden, and of course a lovely surprise holiday when we bumped into you onboard a cruise. With lots of love to Sarah, David, Sophie, Lucy and Michael.

Stuart was always very keen to pass on his superb maths knowledge so this feels a very fitting charity to donate to in his honour.

38 years ago Stuart did me the honour of being my best man. A role which he carried out to perfection including pretending to lose the ring. A have lost a great friend who I will miss. Mark

The family did so well yesterday, Stu would be so proud of how you all got through such a very tough day. It is such a tragedy that he has been taken away so early.
